The Bible teaches that true followers of Christ will desire to tell others about Him and what He’s done in their lives. (See John 4:28-30, 39-42, and 1 John 1:1-4.). Sharing with others—sometimes called witnessing since we are witnesses to Christ—is a vital part of the Christian life.
I remember working in a health care sector with dementia patients and all I do every day is to follow their care plan and give the medication the same routine all days, then a faithful day a pastor friend called to greet me and one of the patients was hyper and much vocal disrupting my call even why I was far away her screaming was too much then my friend on the other end of d call said something I quote,” have you talk to them about Christ, do you hold their hands in faith and pray with them why you discharge your duty”
I laugh and said they are dementia patients, and they don’t know anything happening in their environment. What is the point? After the close of work, my heart was heavy, and then I thought of his advice and applied this technique to my joy routine guess what my shift since then has been stressless, no patient fell, dies, or has any emergency on my shift.
Your responsibility as a Christian goes beyond attending church service. Have you told your friends, neighbours, colleagues, spouses, and even your children about Jesus today?
Have you shared your daily encounter of grace with others that truly Jesus saves?
Your responsibility first after accepting him as your personal saviour is for you to witness him, till the end of the world!
You own up to that responsibility to tell the world about who Jesus is.
Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells his followers, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”
It is very important that we share Jesus with other people. He is The Way to eternal life in heaven with our Heavenly Father. But God does not call us to be obnoxious or rude in the way that we share His eternal blessing. I invite you to come and help others to share, Jesus, the reason for the hope that you have.
