SCRIPTURE:
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
MESSAGE.
Spiritual Father is someone whose life, teaching, manner of his response to issue, disciplinary character, etc will naturally encourage one to reshaping his or her life for an expected divine pattern of God.
Before making someone your spiritual father you must critically consider the way of life of such individuals regardless of what such is covering up, it is wildly open through Holy Spirit.
You don’t choose someone to direct your life spiritual, morally, financially, maritally life etc without considering the place of God in the life of such individuals, he must be a person of distinguished character and morally upright in the subject you are emulating his life through in your life.
There are individuals today who are in the ministry, business, career, real estate, information technology project that is making brilliant and irresistible progress in their life, the progress of such individuals is not enough for you to choose him as your spiritual father or mentor on that field or subject for the source of such individuals spiritual stand must be ascertains before you begin to climb from his behind.
There are successful and discipline individuals in their field who are an enemy of God discrete character in the kingdom of God who at the same time as priests, some are business tycoon etc who are secretly sealed with devil mandate of misleading the children of God who are not careful on their cause and course in life etc.
Considering the salvation of Apostle Paul, you will discover he was saved by the lord Jesus Christ through grace, and he immediately disengaged himself from his former life without looking at the consequences this will bring upon him from the government and his contemporary in the said atrocities through character in his profession.
He was a distinguished man with a straight character in all areas of his life, very careful and determined to please God in his life.
This is a man that has been persecuting the saints all this while and suddenly turned a follower of the same God he is practically against.
He read, critically study, serve under the divine instruction of God in the life of the Apostle in the body of Christ, this is a person the apostles are very careful about his person because the priests are not sure of his salvation and genuity in the things of God because of his former life and his straight objective against the church.
This terrible Saul turns fearless Paul who faced people with truth and reality of his life to change people from bad to a better person in the society, some of his convert could not boldly join the train of salvation in their generation because of fear but accepted the lord through is distinct personality.
This is the kind of person that is worth it being taken as a spiritual father in character and disposition.
