CONTENT: AUGUST EDITION, JOY OF THE LORD.
BIBLE READING: DANIEL 9:1-12.
TEXT: GENESIS 22:9.
REFERENCE: DANIEL 3:12-25, GENESIS 22:6-20, EZEKIEL 37:1-15.
SCRIPTURE:
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
MESSAGE.
God is not wicked and cannot involve in destroying people’s destiny and fortune.
Father Abraham was told to kill the only son, which was a test from God, he took his son and promptly move to the altar to slaughter him.
He didn’t share the issue with anybody, and he doesn’t have contrary opinion on the Lord’s decision as regard the instructions.
He proceeded on the journey together with his son and some of his special male-servant in his house, at a time the son moves closer to his father and asked him a question. The question indicated that, that was not the first time the father has been taking the son to perform such sacred sacrifice to God but this time the Lord need the son to be sacrifice for him.
The father answered the son ” the Lord will provide”, he was not tempted to tell the son that he is the person to be used in the place of the ram. You just have to be very careful with the use of word to God and his servant.
God may deliberately focus on you through a servant of God to do something in his house, be wise in your response for you not to lose your testimony.
Father Abraham was not sad; he does not use a derogatory word against God because he was asked to sacrifice his son.
He knows God to be a perfect God who is about doing something important even more than given him the son at that very age.
He consoles himself in the Lord that there is nothing God cannot do, meaning his relationship with God is very deep which expose his personality to some great act of the lord that indicated his wonder and supernatural involvement on a matter and situation of life.
He seeing God bringing great thing out of that situation not mourning, one of the strongest understandings of Father Abraham was that God don’t take back whatever he gives no matter what happened.
This sealed the deal of not going to sacrifice his son but obeying God with all totality.
God cannot fail, the most powerful who can do anything at any point in time, he has the authority that can change anything and turn the most terrible situation to see an amazing testimony like yours will, what are you seeing God doing in that situation.
LET US PRAY.
1. Thank you oh Lord for your grace in my life in Jesus name.
2. Oh Lord, destroy all form of impossibility in my life in Jesus name.
3. Oh Lord, destroy every form of doubt and disbelief toward God and it’s will in my life in Jesus name.
4. Oh Lord, liberate your glory in my life and make me an example of faith in you in my generation in Jesus name.
5. Thank you for an answered prayers oh Lord.
