BIBLE READING: 1SAMUEL 19:1-24.
TEXT: 1SAMUEL 19:6.

SCRIPTURE:
And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain.
MESSAGE.
Good morning brethren, Jesus Christ is our all-time example that all the credible feature of life are worth emulating from his person.
His voice was raised, condemned by the then priests, the council of elders of the church, ignorant saints about the Lord expectations from every individual which is an expectation of the Lord for being a core follower of truth and righteousness to be meaningful.
Salvation doesn’t only bring to us righteousness, teaching of holiness, embracement of humanity, disengagement from wrong culture, humanitarian service through the love of God to the people in the street etc. This is what Christianity is built upon not when something is not affecting you, you carelessly overlook it and got mute about it but cry about the occurrence to people after the terrible ordeal.
Quietness over what you can raise your voice or alert other for solution is unacceptable, take note of this, the Lord was not selfish because there is nothing affecting him in all what he condemned the elders and priests of the Lord in his court doing.
An issue was raised in the church by a member about a saints that was robbed by robbers during the night travelling to the eastern part of the nation and the very brother is a new convert in the body of Christ, this issue was raised at the elders and pastor meeting of the church, that what can we do about the matter for it’s still fresh considering the level of faith of this our beloved brethren.
People want the pastor in charge of the church to first make a comment before others can contribute.
It’s unfortunate what the man of God said about the matter, he said there is nothing the church can do now because there is no money on ground and they have return (monthly church financial accountability to the headquarters) next week, that even the church has some bills to pay as per what is sent to them from the headquarters, and they have not even announce it to the church.
Many people in the meeting felt disappointed about the response of the man of God, for its coiled with selfishness, self-centeredness, unconcerned character etc but there was an elderly person among the people whose voice renew hope of the discussion.
He said, we should not be ignorant of the consequences this can cause this our beloved brother, I will suggest we should find a way to contribute our best to relieve him of the sudden pain and lost he is going through.
We can help without touching the church finance which is what I think is the best move on this matter.
Your voice is very important and powerful, it’s one of the virtues of God in your life to safe, preserve, contribute positively to the growth, condemn ungodliness or inhumane character in the society etc.
It is totally wrong when you are mute or quiet on a matter that is important to others but not in any way affecting you, Jesus Christ raised alarm over insincerity of the church elders during his earthly ministry that cause unrelenting hatred against his personality.

2. Oh Lord, destroy all form of selfish motive in my action to other in Jesus name.
3. Oh Lord, destroy inappropriate in my position to other wellbeing in Jesus name.
4. Oh Lord, destroy all form of abnormality in my ways of life to other in Jesus name.
5. Thank you for an answered prayers oh Lord in Jesus name.
