And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
MESSAGE.
Naming a child during christening is very sensitive and will of God must not be omitted over giving the child an identity to bear, name has an important and vital role over the life of a person.
If a person bear a wrong identity in relation to the name, there is every possibility for the person not to fulfill destiny, looking at the mother of Jabez who gave birth to her child in sorrow and terrible penury, this must not have a reflection on the new born but she committed a great blunder in this, the name “Jabez” come as a result of what the family is going through not the expected name by God for the child.
This was not addressed or changed for all to know how to be very careful and take the essentiality of name essential.
There are some individuals whose when their relations give birth, such will be sending name from villages that this is the name I want for the newborn, this is acceptable culturally and traditionally but biblically wrong and not acceptable.
Many lives and destiny have been tampered with through this unbiblical way of responding to the life of the newborn.
Bearing a wrong name over the purpose of God concerning the life of a person will naturally make such individuals failed in fulfilling purpose and altered flourishment of such individuals in life.
Jacob needs to address the issue of his name and not until then his life never reflects the intervention and manifestation of God.
You are a parent or aspiring parent must take this to heart, Elizabeth gave birth to a boy that the family of Prophet Zacharias wanted the boy to bear the name of the father along with him but the mother refuted because she knows the name of the boy before birth, this cause strong tussle on this day and the lord opened the mouth of the father on the same day, and he revealed the name of John inaccordance to what the lord has revealed to the mother.
Name is very powerful and the importance of such must not be overlook.
What is your name, some parents given their child up to twenty names, it is too much and not right in all sense, when you asked some, such meant not have a genuine reason for it for such just want it.
Wrong name has implicated the destiny of several individuals on the street and damage their reputation likewise and until such address the issue of the name no positive change will manifest or reflect in the life of such like Isreal.
