MESSAGE.
Christianity is not about praying or by pulling down the spiritual stronghold of the devil against the glory of God in the life of the saints alone but also into social transformative activity that has power to bring relief and upgrade people’s interest in adding value to society.
The lord saddles a rich man in the bible to start a non-governmental organization, a situation where he will naturally be investing into the life of the people which range from giving less privileged scholarships to furthermore their education, establishing rehabilitation center, this is place where the life of the people who have involved in the drug cartels, alcoholic consumption, occultic activities among youth, men or women will be kept for treatment, reorientation of the mind, train to be a better personality in the society etc.
There are creative activities in the body of Christ that are scripturally established to bring about positive change and transformation in the society generally.
The man turned down the great offer of the lord that will bring lots of unregenerated back to the feet of the lord, social transformation activity in the body of Christ is a way of bringing hope to the hopeless, reactivating a better life for the people that has onetime and other involved in wrongness of life like cultism, smoking etc.
Christian is not only to pray and bring people to the feet of the lord but are also surrounded with activities that has power to transform the life and reshape the destiny of people in the society.
Organizing seminars for the community on the issue of education, wellness, security, food and nutrition etc, for secondary school students to prepare them for a great future.
Christian educational symposium has the power to reactivate and transform the mind of the people both young and old to a better personality of the society and environment through creative enlightenment, introduction of new idea, training, empowerment etc.
Empowering the community widow is one of the church arms of social beneficiary activities, this situation is mainly for women whose husband has passed to glory which has nothing to do with religion background or faith.
Social transformation activities are a ministry to some set of great saints in the body of Christ, I read a very admiring piece about Late HERBERT Wigwe former GMD of Access holding that he pays salary of the choir of his worship place in Lagos, what an encouragement idea, this will naturally bring renewal of mind to the class of people at the choir stand.
There are old people who are being pay little token at the end of every month for up keeping by some individual in the church of God and society, this is a critical social work. There are priests under the payroll of some organization enlisted by the CEO of such prestigious organization, this is both kingdom investment that attract God’s reward and also a social work that make the benefiting individual to stay away from wrong and whatever that can soil their great kingdom work abusively in the society and in the church.
